"Inspired 2 Space 4 All!"

Astra is proud to be a member of The Inspired 24. I was accepted in December 2022. I was given my handle from I-24 members of Sparkey during the organizations monthly meeting in January.

The Inspired 24 began as a group of Inspiration 4 contestants joined together after the launch of Inspiration 4 on September 15, 2021. Inspiration 4 was the first all-civilian crew to launch aboard Crew Dragon Resilience. The Inspiration 4 crew was selected from contestants with diverse backgrounds and the founding members of the organization wanted to find members who reflectd the diversity.

This action-oriented organization, inspired by the trailblazing achievements of the Inspiration 4 crew, seeks to create a future where spaceflight is open to all, regardless of their background or circumstances.

This group of space enthusiasts wants as many people as possible to experience the Overview Effect. The overview effect is the emotions that are experienced the first time a person looks on the Earth from space. The overview effect can create powerful shifts in the way someone thinks about Earth and life.

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science Celebration

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is also known as February 11. This conference was held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on February 10, 2023.

Meredith Garofalo is Broadcast Meteorologist and a science/space correspondent for News 12, a New York station covering the Hudson Valley, Long Island, and the Tri-State region. She is a member of The Inspired 24.
